I have an entirely new appreciation for my children's teachers and other teachers. I also find myself volunteering more, in the library, in the classroom, and as a chaperone on field trips. I have an all new appreciation for all the hard work that goes into school events and I find that I want to help the school earn money. Substituting has opened my eyes in more ways than just the great schedule.
